Nowadays In the Middle East The sun sets down in shame Neither the moon nor the prostitute bear any resemblance to a lover A killer wind is blowing There is no ground for the host to be hopeful Shut it! Shut it like the windows shut in the face of freedom kids The orphaned Middle East The dizzy earth The rain bored with repetitious showering Nowadays The bereaved Middle East sheds tears of blood While every night The discreet coats and skirts meet Rising glasses to each other. Here, fire at will There, thirst for drinking Drinking the juice of Middle East Red Black Yellow The earth has its reasons for concern Shut the door! a.a.janvand
